Where to find partners for your future EU projects

Most often, a transnational partnership is required in order to get some EU funding for your project. Organisation type of each partner and the country of their main office must be taken into account when forming a partnership.

The most difficult part is search for partners. You can drop a bottle into the sea but you will have to be patient. Follow these tips to be quicker:

1. Post a message on social networks like Twitter, Facebook, Linkedin, etc. (it’s like the message in a bottle but it can work).

2. Contact former partners of your organisation with whom you had worked before. Involving partners you already know is an asset for your bid.

3. Use your network: perhaps someone knows an organisation that could be interested in your project.

4. Contact the different European networks that could help you in finding partners (Europe Direct Information Centre, EU programme contact point, INTERREG managing authority via the local coordinator, etc.)

5. Sign up to the platforms for EU projects partner searching. Here’s a list with some of them:

• ERASMUS+ programme:
• Education and adult learning: EPALE
• Youth, education, training and sport: OTLAS
• Schools: eTwinning

• HORIZON 2020 programme:
• Community Research and Development Information Service (CORDIS)
• ENTERPRISE EUROPE NETWORK

• INTERREG programmes: Most of INTERREG programmes offer a partner searching platform on their website. Here are some of them:
