HORIZON 2020 programme

HORIZON 2020 is the EU programme covering research, development and innovation for 2014-2020 period. The framework programme aims to co-finance research or innovation projects and more generally to create an Innovation Union according to the EUROPE 2020 strategy.

Every organisation can submit a bid no matter their legal status, as long as the project is carried out by three organisations established in three different Member States or associate States, they remain independent of each other, and the involvement of a partner from a third state must be essential to project implementation.

HORIZON 2020 will have a budget of about 80 billion Euros for 2014-2020: it will be the most important one for the current programming period.
