2/ HOW TO IDENTIFY FUNDING?

Once the analysis of your project has been completed, you are ready to identify funding opportunities for your project.

The “match-funding” is an interesting possibility for your organisation to fund its project.
It means that your organisation will be given a grant by one funder or more with a certain percentage of the total costs of your project and you will have to fund the rest.

For example: The total costs of the project represent 100%. The EU will give you 60%. The Big Lottery will give you 20% and your own resources will fund the last 20%.

Please bear in mind that you need to adapt the scale of your project to the size of your organisation and its finances. Your organisation needs to be able to meet terms and conditions of the funders, right to the end of the project’s implementation.

In order to identify funding opportunities, you will need above all to think about the different topics that your project could cover and then you will be able to find relevant funding opportunities according to these. Maybe a mind map could help you.

There are lots of funding opportunities available at a local, national, European or worldwide level, in many different fields.
