2015, European Year for Development

Every year and since 1983, the European Union highlights one of their community policy’s topics. The European Commission makes a proposal that will have to be approved both by the European Parliament and the Council of the European Union. In 2015, the priority is European development policy.

This initiative aims to raise public awareness on the issue throughout the year, to promote debate and the setting-up of dedicated policies in each Member State and at the EU level, in order to reach the objectives. This year, the actions that will be carried out will be focused on the following topic: “our world, our dignity, our future”.

PROJET ACCEPTÉ

Votre demande de subvention a été envoyée il y a quelques semaines déjà et vous venez de recevoir l’avis du jury concernant votre projet : une subvention vous est attribuée ! Bravo !

Vous pouvez désormais prévenir vos partenaires et vous préparer pour les formalités administratives avant le lancement du projet.

PROJET REFUSÉ

Vous venez d’apprendre que votre projet a été recalé par le jury. Il est normal d’être déçu mais ne perdez pas espoir, tout reste possible.

Tout d’abord, le jury vous a certainement remis une grille d’évaluation pour votre projet : lisez attentivement, cela vous sera très utile.

5/ PROJECT APPROVAL – PROJECT REFUSAL

PROJECT APPROVAL

You sent your bid a few weeks ago and you have just received the outcome letter from the selection panel: your project has been accepted! Congratulations!

You can now inform your partners and be ready for the administrative preparation work before the project is launched.

PROJECT REFUSAL

You have just learned that your project has been refused by the panel. You are disappointed and it is normal to feel that way. Don’t worry, you still have the possibility to re-submit your project at the next call for projects.

First, the panel may give you a scoreboard which has been used to assess your project. Read it carefully, it will help you a lot.

J'ai rédigé ce guide pendant mon stage de six mois au sein de l'East Sussex County Council en 2014. J'ai essayé d'être la plus simple possible pour vous donner envie de monter des projets européens ou pour vous accompagner dans la gestion de ceux-ci.

Good Practice on EU Project Development and Management guide

I wrote the guide during my six-month internship at East Sussex County Council in 2014 and I tried to be as simple as possible in my explanations.

Mise à jour sur les institutions européennes

Voici une rapide mise à jour sur les institutions européennes : 

• Jean-Claude JUNCKER est le nouveau Président de la Commission européenne pour une durée de cinq ans depuis le 1er novembre 2014,
• Martin SCHULZ a été réélu en tant que Président du Parlement européen pour deux ans et demi,
• Donald TUSK est le nouveau Président du Conseil européen pour une durée de deux ans et demi depuis le 1er décembre 2014,
• L'Italie détient la présidence du Conseil de l'Union européenne du 1er juillet 2014 au 31 décembre 2014. La Lettonie prendra le relais du 1er janvier 2015 au 30 juin 2015.

European institutions update

You will find below a quick update on the European institutions:

• Jean-Claude JUNCKER is the new President of the European Commission for five years since 1 November 2014;

• Martin SCHULZ was re-elected as the President of the European Parliament for two years and a half;

• Donald TUSK is the new President of the European Council for two years and a half since 1 December 2014;

• Italy leads the Council of the European Union from 1 July 2014 to 31 December 2014. Latvia will succeed on 1 January 2015 until 30 June 2015.
